International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) is one of 11 IIITs, and offers advanced postgraduate programs in Information Technology, MBA and other degrees. Last year I dropped it because of M.Tech or PG courses admissions. This year its pretty clear that they asked for M.Tech admissions.
IIIT Pune invites applications for M.Tech in School of Information Technology and School of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology with specializations Software Technologies, Networking & Telecommunications, Mobile Communication and Computing, Nanoelectronics, Nanobiotechnology, Microelectronics & VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Intelligent Systems & Robotics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Satellite Communication & Space Science, and Automotive Engineering & e-Manufacturing.
Eligibility for Admission:
Graduates with any Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology (with minimum 55 percent marks aggregate or equivalent grades) with sound computing background in C and C++ programming languages. Or
Graduates with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology (with minimum 55 percent marks aggregate or equivalent grades) in Electrical / Electronics / Communication / Information Technology / Computer Science / Instrumentation or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Data Communication and Networking Programming, background in C and C++. Or
Graduate Degree of minimum three years in the areas related to Computer and Information Science / Technology with minimum 55 percent marks aggregate.

ACCORDING TO ME , NITS ARE NOT PROVIDING GOOD PLATFORMS FOR RESEARCH , IN THE PAST YEARS PRIVATE INSTITUTES ARE DOING WELL IN THESE AREAS.

I need answer for my above post..because if we look at top nits..the research in those top nits is wrost…because by holding top mark flag they are able to award phds only in single digit numbers..this worst…

Is this the 2nd round of admission @ I2IT pune? because the admission result for July 2011 intake is declared & admission test/interviews were conducted in March. Pls clarify.
