mechanical eng is too good but inorder to proceed u should have good scope in physics topics like fluids mechanics properties of materials and rigidness and have an idea on mechanism of tools if u have good comand over these topics u can eaisly proceed, but hardwork plays a key role and jobs are not assured directly
