Many students are mailing me because of NIT Rourkela and other NITs notification for sponsored and M.Tech by research programs.
This post is just to inform all of you that for the academic year 2010 – 2011 there will be a common counseling and admission for various M.Tech. programmes at National Institute of Technology at Agartala, Calicut, Rourkela, Suratkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal. Source NIT Calicut.
Please also refer for earlier post on Common admissions in different NITs. NIT Trichy will conduct a common admission process as last year and they will issue the application forms, which they have not announced yet. check here The six NITs common admission notice.
If they are waiting for other few NITs to join the process the application are expected to be issued in two weeks time otherwise applications are expected in next week.
I will update as soon as the notification comes. There is nothing to worry, no application for these NITs is being issued by this time. If you have any doubts please read the notification again and then if still have a question give a comment with the link to institute as a reference.

regarding this article, apart from the common admission for mtech at these nits, nits conducting MS or MTech (research) will be called separately and individually, like they do for phd. These notifications and deadlines are much earlier. I came to know of this very late this time. We’ll catch these notifications at right time the next yr.
